Financial Accountant



We’re looking for a motivated and capable qualified accountant to join the small and friendly finance team. We are an exciting and progressive company developing and publishing Virtual Reality video games. The successful applicant will be a key member of the team, helping to ensure the smooth ongoing operation of all key financial processes.


  • Lead an efficient month-end process to enable the business to receive finance reports in a timely manner
  • Assist the Head of Finance with year-end compliance tasks including audit and preparation of the statutory account
  • Assist the Head of Finance with both year-end corporation tax returns and tax credits (R&D and Video Games Tax Relief), as well as regular HMRC reporting including VAT and EMI returns
  • Manage the finance assistant and support their development
  • Act as the finance point of contact for nDreams employees, resolving any queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Oversee the Accounts Payable function, acting as first point of contact for suppliers and ensuring internal controls and procedures are consistently adhered to
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition for games sales and associated royalties on a monthly basis
  • Support the CFO and Head of Finance with ad hoc queries and analysis


  • Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) accountant with 3+ years practical experience in a similar role, including year end tax exposure
  • • A quick learner who can think on their feet
  • • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • • Results focused, pro-active and enthusiastic approach
  • • Excellent attention to detail
  • • Experience of working in an SME / tech business desirable

We offer Permanent & Fixed Term Contracts. The role is based can be office based or hybrid through our unique Flex+ policy. Flex+ empowers you to make decisions about your work location depending on the tasks at the time in collaboration with your team and Manager.The studio is within easy commuting distance from London and Guildford. Salary is competitive and dependent on your experience.
