Graduate Communications Assistant (Hybrid)

Apply

Description

We are nDreams, an award-winning virtual reality publisher and developer with a portfolio of award-winning games, including Phantom: Covert Ops, Fracked, Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity, and the upcoming Ghostbusters VR.

Our industry-leading publishing team has over 25 years of combined experience within the VR space, plus decades more across major games companies. We create innovative and impactful marketing and commercial campaigns, whilst constantly monitoring the market to ensure our games stay ahead of the competition.

In addition to supporting the release of our internally developed titles, we announced our Third-Party Publishing Initiative last year, to co-fund and publish games from other studios. Our first tile is the cosy city creator, Little Cities. Following a recent $35 million investment, we’ve got even more incredible titles across both existing and future VR platforms to be announced soon.

The Role

As our team continues to grow, we’re looking to take on a graduate as Communications Assistant, to join our Communications team.

Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will work on communications campaigns across a variety of titles and assist with everything from copywriting to working with influencers.

Communications Support

  • Support the Communications Manager with the planning, preparation, and execution of communications strategies across both first and third-party titles.
  • Devise and develop ideas to feed into game campaigns.
  • Input into and edit communications copy to ensure that the messaging and tone reflects the values of the studio.
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of public relations and promotional materials as well as the scheduling of interviews.
  • Assist in the moderation of key community channels such as Discord, ensuring that our official server is a safe and fun place for our community to thrive and grow.
  • Assist in building and scheduling our social schedule for our primary platforms.
  • Assist the Communications Manager with event management and planning as well as attending relevant events in the yearly calendar.

Analysis and Reporting

  • Monitor media coverage and sentiment across on a game-by-game basis and for nDreams as an organisation.
  • Deliver regular overviews of media performance and evaluate areas to improve and build on.
  • Track the growth of key influencers and creators over time so that we are able to speculate as to the best partners for future titles.
  • Track coverage of our key announcements from creators, influencers, and prominent community members, enabling us to quantify the success of our outreach efforts.

Communications Team Support

  • Update and maintain media lists.
  • Manage and maintain communications calendars and ensure the wider Publishing team are aware of key Communications milestones.
  • Prepare agendas for meetings and assist with the creation of presentations.

Requirements

What are we looking for?

  • Degree-level education or equivalent, in English, communications, marketing or another relevant field.
  • Highly proactive with excellent organisation skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness, knowledge and passion for video games and the video game industry.
  • The ability to think both critically and creatively, switching between the two to best support the team’s needs at each stage of the communications campaign.
  • A good understanding of social media, including emerging channels, as well as its fast-changing nature.
  • Experience collaborating with individuals and teams of different backgrounds, seniorities, and viewpoints.
