Senior Technical Animator - nDreams Studio (Hybrid)



We have an amazing opportunity for a Senior Technical Animator to join us here at nDreams Studio in Farnborough, working on our upcoming VR game titles.

As a Senior Technical Animator, you will be responsible for creating best-in-class animation systems to enhance the quality of our cutting-edge VR titles. You are passionate about the creative and technical aspects of game animation and enjoy solving problems with a creative/technical mindset.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a AAA real-time character pipeline collaborating with the Animation, Code and Design teams.
  • Help define the technical direction and develop solutions for complex animation requirements.
  • Create tools to streamline rigging workflows.
  • Create well architected and scalable rigging systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation for internal and external use.


Who Are We Looking For?

Essential capabilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of Unreal, Maya, Motion Builder and video editing software such as Adobe Premier.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of Unreal Blueprints, sequencer and blend spaces.
  • Confidently communicate effectively across disciplines.
  • Able to consider the performance impact of each implementation.
  • Proficient in creating facial animation.
  • A proactive approach for efficiency in work methods.
  • Able to hand key animation and work with mocap.
  • Solid understanding of body mechanics


Desired experience

  • Knowledge of Advanced Skeleton and ngSkin Tools.
  • Knowledge of Python, Pymel, C# and C++.
  • Experience of at least two game development life cycles.
