You are responsible for proactively coordinating the development team within studio by owning the day-to-day relationship with team members to ensure all needs, requirements and expectations are met while also planning to manage risk. You will also coordinate and prioritise the day-to-day activities of cross-discipline staff (Art, Code, Design, Audio, QA, etc.) at every stage of a title(s) development.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Proactively identify, report and take ownership of unblocking any day-to-day issues arising within development to keep production efficient and operational whilst ensuring that expectations are fulfilled and requirements related to content, characters, game play, technology and marketing are met.
  • Lead feature teams to establish and maintain realistic sprint scope and ensuring that they do not suffer from ‘feature-creep’.
  • Support the Game Director and Senior Producer in communicating task priorities and assist team members in understanding how current tasks and activities contribute to the overall development and vision
  • Keeping track of budget throughout the development of the game to ensure that titles come in on budget and achieve the high quality standards required by nDreams.
  • Performing and refining best-practice project management techniques to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of development milestones.
  • Continually monitor development teams’ and projects’ current and future health and status; conduct on-going risk analysis and provide mitigation solutions to the senior project team.
  • As Scrum Master, own the team agile process and confidently lead all necessary Scrum ceremonies while constantly finding ways to improve and learn. Drive continuous improvement of process methodologies to support sustainable working practices, timely delivery, communication, and team health, whilst staying on top of every detail
  • Ensure that project status is visible to the senior management, providing regular (min. weekly) updates to stakeholders at all levels and taking full accountability for feature delivery status.
  • Assist Product Producer with creation and maintenance of a strategic capacity roadmap for the studio.
  • Mentor and coach other members of the team in agile practices
  • Mentor and coach other members of the team in production software.

Requirements

  • Be highly organised, experienced in running multiple projects and delivering to tight deadlines.
  • Strong track-record of managing teams with the successful production of impactful customer-facing games.
  • Have a yes-can-do attitude, a person that is a doer and not afraid to get their hands dirty.
  • Abundance of an engaging leadership.
  • Engaging and convincing personality with excellent communication skills.

Benefits

If you think this could be the role for you, we’d love you to get in touch! Drop us your CV via the link below. We’re one of the world’s largest VR developers and publishers. Our recent Oculus-exclusive Phantom: Covert Ops was a #1 title at launch, having won multiple “VR Game of the Show” awards at E3 2019. But that’s only touching the surface – with multiple games in development, including our upcoming action-adventure Fracked and exciting growth plans we can’t wait to show you what else we’re up to.

The studio encourages an open and diverse culture, where you’re empowered to explore ideas and put your own stamp on projects. We also offer some great perks, including flexible hours, duvet days and health insurance.

The publishing team is a small, growing part of nDreams. We are a friendly bunch who “muck in” when needed and work collaboratively – both between ourselves and the talented dev team we work alongside. Despite our humble resources, we strive to develop campaigns that would make AAA publishers envious – we would love to find someone who can help us achieve this, as well as bringing along new ideas and perspectives.
