FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS:
INFORMATION YOUNG PLAYERS

Welcome to FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS!

The purpose of this page is to:

  1. provide relevant information about FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS to players under the age of 18 and their parents or guardians
  2. summarise the contents of the End User Licence Agreement (EULA), Privacy Notice and Player Code of Conduct with age-appropriate language

IMPORTANT: These summaries are not substitutes of the full terms which can be found at:

INTRODUCTION

Who are We?

We are nDreams - a virtual reality video games company based in the United Kingdom. nDreams is the publisher of FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS. Near Light, an nDreams studio, is the developer of FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS.

What does ‘early access’ mean?

It means FRENZIES is still in development. You are getting access to an unfinished version so you may experience bugs (not real ones of course!) and we’ll be experimenting with lots of different features. FRENZIES is expected to have a full release in 2025.

Are there any in-app purchases?

For FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS, players may receive free in-game currency to spend on in-game items. Real-world money cannot be used to purchase in-game items in FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS.

For full release of FRENZIES, we’re planning to sell virtual currency to purchase in-game items.

What is an End User Licence Agreement?

An End User Licence Agreement (referred to as a ‘EULA’ and pronounced ‘U-Lah’) sets out the legal terms which video games companies allow players to play a game and use services connected to that game (such as buying battle passes, weapons skins and virtual currency).

What is a Privacy Notice?

A Privacy Notice explains what information is collected about you and your headset when you’re playing a video game and what is done with that information.

What is a Player Code of Conduct?

It’s the rules on how to behave and interact with other players.

How do I or my parent/guardian agree to the terms?

When starting up FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS for the first time, you will be asked if you agree to the terms of the EULA, Privacy Notice and Player Code of Conduct.

If you are under the age of 18, you must have a parent or guardian agree to these on your behalf.

What happens if a parent/guardian will not agree to these terms on my behalf?

You are not permitted to download, install and play FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS. Please uninstall the app.

What happens if nDreams needs to update these terms?

Sometimes we need to make changes. Where we make any important changes, we will notify you and ask you to agree to them when you next start up FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS after the app has been updated.

For minor changes to the terms, you or your parent or guardian check our website https://ndreams.com/terms for updates. Each document will identify the version number and the date it was last updated.

I am under the age of 13. Will my in-game experience be different?

Yes. To comply with legal and Meta’s requirements, players under the age of 13 must use their own Meta child account registered with their correct date of birth. This will result in social features (such as in-game voice communication and hand gestures) being automatically disabled.

What happens if a child uses an Adult’s Meta account or I allow a minor to use my adult Meta account to play FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS?

It will likely result in the account holder being asked by Meta to undertake age verification. Failing to complete age verification could lead to Meta suspending that account.

If you are permanently banned, you may also lose all information, items and virtual currency linked to your account. If you are permanently banned, please do not create a new account to circumvent the ban.

Can nDreams make changes to or discontinue FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS?

Yes. We are permitted make changes, suspend or discontinue FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS at any time and for any reason. We will try to provide as much advance notice as we possibly can. This applies to in-game content too such as levels, weapons (and their skins), outfits and virtual currency. We may also need to temporarily take FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS offline to update it.

If you have purchased an item (either using real-world money or with virtual currency that has been purchased with real world-money) and this item has been removed from the game so you can no longer use it, you will need to contact Meta regarding a refund.

  • to stop using your data

In certain circumstances we may not be able to action these requests.

If we can’t resolve your issue, you can also get in touch with the Information Commissioner’s Office: https://ico.org.uk/concerns. If you live outside of the UK, you can submit a complaint to the supervisory authority in your country.

PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

The golden rule of FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS is ‘treat others as you would want them to treat you’. If you’re out to spoil someone else’s fun and experiences, we will put a stop to that.

You might not even realise you are spoiling someone else’s fun so we recommend reading the full version of the Player Code of Conduct (https://ndreams.com/frenzies-early-access-player-code-of-conduct). We promise it only takes a couple of minutes.

What can I do if someone is ruining my fun?

If someone is ruining your fun, either:

  • mute or block them; or
  • report them using the in-game reporting system.

These options can be found by selecting the ‘Social’ tab on the Menu page and then clicking on the player’s profile.

Please do not abuse the in-game reporting system (such as submitting false in-game player reports or co-ordinating action against innocent players) as it might result you in receiving a sanction.

Does nDreams monitor user-generated content?

Yes. Our voice chat moderation tool flags content that violates the Player Code of Conduct. We will receive audio recordings and transcripts of the violations.

What happens if a player violates the Player Code of Conduct?

They will receive a sanction. The severity of the sanction will depend on the severity of the violation. Sanctions include:

  • receiving an in-game warning
  • temporary loss of social features such as voice chat and hand gesturing
  • temporary or permanent ban from in-game content such as virtual items and virtual currency
  • temporary or permanent ban from FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS and even the full launch of FRENZIES

IMPORTANT: nDreams may be legally required to pass information and evidence relating to very severe violations to law enforcement agencies.

Can a sanction be appealed?

Yes. Send a detailed explanation on why a sanction should be overturned with supporting evidence to frenzies.support@ndreams.com. nDreams can refuse to overturn a sanction.

Can I contact nDreams about a player’s behaviour or to report an interaction with a player?

Absolutely. We are here to keep players safe from harms.

Send an email (or have a parent/guardian send one on your behalf) to frenzies.support@ndreams.com with any evidence and an explanation of the incident. If you have already reported the incident, use the support token number as the subject header. If you haven’t reported it, use the relevant player’s user ID as the subject header.

What can I do if the violations occur outside FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS?

Be wary if another player wants or asks you to interact with them outside of FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS. If a violation of the Player Code of Conduct takes place outside of FRENZIES EARLY ACCESS (also known as off-platform), you can either:

  • notify that platform by using its moderation tools and report procedures
  • report them to Meta by pressing the Meta button on their headset controllers or oculus icon on their right Touch controller to pull up the universal menu and then selecting ‘Report abuse’
  • report them to nDreams by sending us an email to frenzies.support@ndreams.com and provide evidence and an explanation of the incident
